- Make sure to unplug the motor
- The control Box sit on top of the motor
- Locate four corner screws around the control box
- Unscrew four corner screws
- Remove the casing of the control box
- After removing the casing of the control box
- Locate the 5th screw that is connecting the YELLOW wire to the motor shell
- Unscrew the 5th screw and release the YELLOW ground wire
- Locate the RED-RED, WHITE-BLACK wires
- Remove both the plastic wire connectors to disconnect the wires
- Then removing the control box process is completed
REPLACE THE NEW CONTROL BOX
- Connect the RED wire from the new control box to the RED wire of the motor with a wire connector
- Connect the BLACK wire from the new control box to the WHITE wire of the motor with a wire connector
- Tighten the YELLOW ground wire from the new control box to the motor shell with the 5th screw with a screwdriver (the screw is difference than the other 4)
- Make sure all connections are secured
- Put the new control box on top of the motor and align the 4 corner holes of the control box with the motor shell holes
- Install the 4 screws and tighten the new control box to the motor with a screwdriver
- The replacement of the control box FESM-550s is completed
